It all started when…

After working for years trying to revive the Vaidika tradition through various initiatives, from digitizing crumbling manuscripts to reviving a millennia old tradition, it started to become clear that more needed to be done. It became clear that…

The work of a revival of Vaidika society cannot be accomplished through one-two projects, but it has to be taken up by generations of Hindus, decades after decades, to restore the time-honored traditions of our motherland.

This led to…

Establishment of Āngirasa antarvediya Gurukulam, located between Ganga and Yamuna, as a way to prepare young students who could take up the important task of learning, practicing and living our traditions to keep them alive. We aim to revive the paused intellectual traditions of the vaidika people that had flown for millennia but paused in middle ages - by researching and reviving vaidika shakhas as philosophical-intellectual-ritualistic-social whole.

In this gurukula, we study Shukla Yajurveda, Shrauta karma, especially the ones which are no longer practiced in North India and even limited practitioners in South India, those branches of RgVeda’s Shankhyana Shakha aside from the various practical subjects, including correct itihāsa, is stressed upon.

Meet Our Students

OUR GAUSHALA

We have a thriving gaushāla at the gurukulam, currently has 8 cows (3 pregnant), 3 calves and 1 heifer.

Due to rapid commercialization of the dairy industry, the state of pure breed desi cows is extremely troubling. Faulty policies by government and quest for increased milk production has led to farmers adopting foreign breeds of cow or buffaloes, and thus the number of pure breed Indian cows has declined to the extent of being endangered in comparison to most breeds.

Thus, we made a committment to only have pure breed indian cows (bos indicus). All our cows belong to the following breeds:
Haryanvi
Tharparkar
Sahiwal
Rathi

we seek to…

Provide holistic Vaidika education to our students, to revive full-time scholarship of shadanga vedas, establishing Šrauta vidya which has practically gone extinct in North India, all the while preparing students with practical understanding of the world and their place around it, so they can not only live through Dharma, but also present our case to the world.

We also have a commitment to follow the best practices to ensure good health of all our cows and their calves.

We never tie our cows with rope except while feeding them in house. Calves and heifers are fed mother’s milk for as long as the mother produces.

We plan to establish a gosamvardhana kendra exclusively for breeding desi cows so that their quality and numbers improve.
